This Week’s Quotation:
Many people grow up in an environment in which they are rewarded with love if and only if they behave in the way that elders want them to behave. They may go on to choose partners in life who treat them the same way. So, they get used to living a life full of conditional love. And love that is conditional isn’t worth its name.
If you are used to the conditional love in your life, then when you are facing the need to act, you might have this horrible problem to face, If you act, you might fail in the eyes of another person, and, if that is so, they might not love you. Worse yet, you might fail in your own eyes, and you might not love yourself.

Authentic Sovereignty

The power and authority of the cosmos are available to us—we have the choice to let that energy move through our hearts and minds. The cosmos is birthing a new world, and we have the opportunity to be its agents.
Nobody told me that when I was growing up. I didn’t learn to pay attention to cosmic rhythms or recognize opportunities for deeper connection. What does that even mean?
If you grew up like I did, you probably learned how to fit in and play nice—at home, at school, and in society. Sometimes you did it to make the people you cared about happy. Sometimes it kept the peace. And sometimes, it simply felt too risky to rock the boat.
Eventually, a time of rebellion may come—a time when you want to define yourself, cut ties, and live your life on your own terms. Independence can be exhilarating. But it doesn’t always open the door to higher realms of awareness. Unfortunately, there’s no manual for how to live as a cosmic being. Rebellion often tunes us only to our own desires, or to resisting the status quo, without offering guidance on what to listen to instead.
Ideally, there comes a time when self-love begins to blossom—not just any self-love, but one rooted in the true design and beauty of who you are. Your choices begin to reflect a higher sense of purpose, and you cultivate compassion for yourself, for others, and for the world you’re part of.
It is wise to keep loving yourself through the process. As you do, the way you move through the world will shift. You’ll be free to act with wisdom and strength. And in doing so, you become a true agent of the cosmos.
What does it mean to become a sun?
Every human being is already a sun on the inside—a being of intense love and light. The difference is that some people have the vision and courage to become a sun on the outside. This difference is our human destiny.

Many thanks, Jane. Agree with David. … and with you of course. Self-love is not about loving me (lower case) but loving ME and knowing that I am divine and I love who I really am. That love of course also allows me to love all of me “warts and all” and may that love overflow to so many others. Love, Tom
Thank you for your beautiful and true words, Jane!
Loving oneself unconditionally gives us the ability to love others unconditionally, creating an atmosphere of joy, understanding and caring kindness.
Thanks, Jane, for reminding the world that we are here to let Love flow unconditionally from the Sovereign Being that we individually are.
