This Week’s Quotation:
“Because you are a sun, you can embrace the incompleteness of your humanity. And you can embrace the incompleteness of others. Because you are a sun, you have a profound forgiveness for the ugliness of what is present within people and within yourself. And profound appreciation that right there within what is incomplete in people is the radiance of the sun. Whether they know it or not, they are becoming a sun too.”
—Becoming a Sun, p. 300
Grace in All

Have you ever noticed that your experience of life changes depending on how you look at it? There is a magic to the power of our perspective, our outlook. As we look out on our world with radiant vision, what might have seemed dark and bleak is transformed into a panorama of light, beauty, and possibility.
That light and beauty is in all living things, but it can only be seen by the light of our inner sun. As we bathe our world in this light, the aspects of ugliness and incompleteness have an opportunity to receive the beauty of the living sun, and to turn to it and become radiant as well, much like a plant that has not had access to the sun turns pale and withered but takes on new life when exposed to sunlight.
Grace lives within the radiance of our Being. As we turn to our inner Being—our inner sun—we are filled with Grace, and Grace emanates from us to everyone and everything in our world. Appreciation, forgiveness, possibility, and love all stream through Grace, like a healing balm for the wounds of incompleteness within ourselves and others.
Let us turn to our inner sun and see the inner sun in others with our radiant vision. In this way, we become whole, individually and collectively.
What does it mean to become a sun?
Every human being is already a sun on the inside—a being of intense love and light. The difference is that some people have the vision and courage to become a sun on the outside. This difference is our human destiny.

Beautifully said, Maria, thank you! We have the choice, always, to be a radiant sun of warmth, “forgiveness, possibility and love.” As we live in grace with radiance within we have the remarkable opportunity to share this with our world that each may know the radiance they carry within to shine like the sun.
You have so beautifully and precisely described our spiritual work, Maria! I particularly resonate with this sentence: “As we look out on our world with radiant vision, what might have seemed dark and bleak is transformed into a panorama of light, beauty, and possibility.” Yes, we see everything with “radiant vision.” Even the dysfunction and darkness present in current human culture on earth is seen this way and a transforming current of radiant Love is sent through our consciousness into that culture, drawing it back into oneness with the Light of Being.
Beautiful message and quotation … and what a striking image. THANK YOU, MARIA. Love, Tom
