This Week’s Quotation:

The solution to the clouds in consciousness that create low motivation—no fire in the belly—is to regularly think about what is worth your highest love and to feel the feelings that go along with those thoughts. Let it fill your mind. Let it fill your feelings. Celebrate it in your words. Write poems and love songs that adore it. Paint pictures that portray it to the eyes. Let your whole life be lived as an ode to what you love.

Heroic Devotion

What is worthy of your highest love and devotion? Is it worthy of your loyalty? Your enthusiasm? I have started with these questions because reflecting on them is crucial to experiencing a vivacious and fulfilling life. A healthy pattern of reflection and honest evaluation on these things keeps us focused on what merits our time and energy.

I am devoted to the practice of allowing the flow of life through my capacities and each situation, viewing whatever arises as an opportunity for a new and truer reality to be born. I use the word “practice” because it is just that, and it is also an adventure.

Think of life as a game depicting the hero’s journey where the characters bring great diversity to the journey. Feel into the hero’s deep calling to “Be the Change by Being the Light!” At each transformational level, our hero experiences an even more challenging yet vibrant terrain than before. There could be new characters, and there will be new trials to confront. The deep underlying calling to “Be the Change by Being the Light!” is still there, guiding every choice and action.

The adventure isn’t about racking up money, material objects, or status but to be fully present and loyal to the much higher purpose and mission. No matter what! People you trust might turn on you, resources may be depleted or stolen, and fire may rage and brimstone may fall. Yet the hero keeps on going because of devotion to what is possible on the other side of it ALL—that which is longing to be birthed.

So dear reader and fellow adventurer, I ask, what is worth your devotion, and are you willing to be the hero in your story?

What does it mean to become a sun?

Every human being is already a sun on the inside—a being of intense love and light. The difference is that some people have the vision and courage to become a sun on the outside. This difference is our human destiny.

  1. Heroic devotion to the ordering power of Love requires spiritual discipline. When our bodies, minds and hearts wander off and begin to get involved in activities, thoughts and emotions that they have no business being involved in, heroic devotion or just plain discipline is necessary to bring everything back into alignment with the commission to which we have dedicated our lives.

  2. There used to be a well-known saying, We are the Ones we have waited for. It seems so especially true now. This is a time when we are awakening in so many ways – many more than we expected I think. We are the Sun.
    Blessings, All

  3. There is so much we need to experience and ‘go through’ to expand our life, body and soul purpose. I find that exciting whatever the challenge which awaits me, it may feel painful and difficult at the time yet when I release all expectation, blame and outcome I see things with an open heartedness which welcomes the new opportunity of self growth. Isn’t that exciting? Purging ourselves into the letting go, forgive and move on straight away. My grandmothers tip was to do it Now, because life challenges us to move and change, adapt which is natures instinct – it’s what nature does in all areas of change be it severe or be it gently. Change now, do it now was my grandmothers law. Her house was always ready, her cupboards were ready, her purse, her clothes and her beloved attitude and attention to the change was always ready and prepared to be it and do it now. Yet she did it all with the utmost loving understanding for herself and for others too.

If I could walk a day like that I’d be incredibly happy – yet it is something I yearn to live up to.

Let go with love, do it now and embrace the change. As change is the only loving and natural element we can rely on in life.
