Some people in this world are called to play a special role of positive influence in human consciousness. In the world that we live in, influence is usually associated with money. And the media has the power to influence people, whether it’s the television media, the print media, or the Internet. But the ultimate power of influence is built in the nature of humanity and the nature of consciousness. Because even though it seems like consciousness is separate — and you’ve got yours and I’ve got mine — we are all dipping into the same pool. All people are connected around the world. So, what happens in my consciousness influences you and what happens in yours influences me.

The Power of Positive Influence in Human Consciousness
I recently was in a workshop where we were asked to recall a challenging circumstance. We then did an exercise that asked us to recall someone from our past who supported us when we needed it. We then journaled words that person might offer to us today regarding our current dilemma.
We then milled around the space reading those words to the other people in the room.
It was remarkable how powerful it was to read those messages to another person and receive other people’s words of support. There was no speaking of the challenge, just sharing the words of encouragement. The words I wrote felt uplifting to the circumstance I was working with, and that was also true for the others participating. And I was uplifted by the accuracy of their messages to me.
How could it be that words coming from a significant person in our past could continue to uplift and bless in the current day? And it’s even more interesting that words that were offering support to another could impact me.
The answer could be that positive affirmations will always be fitting, offering a blessing at a generic level. I would like to suggest that it has more to do with the power of positive influence present in human consciousness. We are designed to uplift and influence the creative nature in each other. What I do and how I chose to be in this life influences everything I am connected to, and it is true even once removed. Words of blessing meant for me spoken to someone else continue to support and bless.
Let us not underestimate the potential of our influence. You may be the starting point of someone’s journey of remembering their connection to the large creative pool of human consciousness.
What does it mean to become a sun?
Every human being is already a sun on the inside—a being of intense love and light. The difference is that some people have the vision and courage to become a sun on the outside. This difference is our human destiny.

How true, Jane, that we are all connected and any time I speak words of blessing to another person or receive words of blessing from another, the two of us are blessed and that blessing flows out through our consciousness into the collective consciousness of humanity, blessing the whole body of humankind.
