This Week’s Quotation:

When you are bringing your radiance to your creative field, that field is profoundly affected by you. The waves of your soul are warmed. The atmosphere you share with other people is different. Your creative field comes to life in your radiance, and new forms of life spring up around you—new opportunities, new friendships, and a quickening that makes what is already happening in your life feel new.

The Radiance of Your Being

The radiance of your being affects the world—your world and the whole world. It’s such a simple choice: be radiant. Let the warmth of your love move out from you and touch everything around you.

I remember years ago, a friend said to me, “If you’re bored, you’re boring.” At first, I bristled. But it made me realize I might have been waiting for the world to bring its radiance to me, to entertain me, to lift me up, to bring joy or excitement to my doorstep. Without knowing it, I was accusing life of being dull and casting myself as its victim.

When we’re not engaged, not lighting up our world with our own radiance, life can feel flat. But when we bring energy, creativity, and presence to each moment, we become enlivened by the dynamic opportunities in front of us.

How different it is to feel lit up by the question, “What wonderful opportunity shall I choose today?” instead of believing we’re too bored to do anything at all.

Of course, there are times when our plates have gotten full and we need to rest. But even then, we can still pour our warmth into the possibilities before us. It doesn’t have to be grand—sometimes it’s as simple as deciding what to cook for dinner. Try a new recipe. Invite friends over. Enjoy one another’s company.

The warmth of your radiance changes how you feel while changing the world.

What does it mean to become a sun?

Every human being is already a sun on the inside—a being of intense love and light. The difference is that some people have the vision and courage to become a sun on the outside. This difference is our human destiny.

Love the whole article – and the specific message above touched me especially.

  2. On the subject of boredom, another quote comes to mind: “Anyone bored these days is not paying attention.” When we’re paying attention to what we as Divine Beings should be paying attention to, i.e. our own Sun radiance, boredom is impossible. Does the Sun ever get bored shining its light? Neither should we!
