This Week’s Quotation:

I know from working with people at depth for many years that most people are almost deathly afraid of their own feelings. They are often plagued, almost incessantly, by their own negative self-talk – their biting criticism of themselves and other people. They often feel unsure of who or what God is, or how to live their spirituality in the world. And I have observed so many people, including so many in the generation that are now in their twenties and thirties, who feel utterly betrayed by religion and by spirituality of any kind.

The True You

Gary Goodhue, Spiritual Teacher, Public Speaker, Workshop Leader

Many people relate to their spirituality through their chosen pathway of teaching, philosophy or religion. This is the common way of things as we learn from the wisdom and teachings of others and feel comfortable when communing with like-minded people who share our beliefs. The problem is that although there are many gems of truth to be found in all the pathways of the world, they are subject to human interpretation or manipulation and sometimes even contain disempowering messages and practices.

When we believe in, listen to, or repeat to ourselves (self-talk) any idea, perception or belief that is not reflective of the principles of Spirit (love, truth and life), then we end up feeling the darkened and depressed nature of that which we are giving our response and energy to. Which is essentially that which we are letting dwell in our consciousness and thus claiming into creation as our experience.

Speak seeds of possibility and potential into your world, toward others and unto your own mind and heart. Remind yourself of the divinity of Who You Are as a Being of Love and appreciate your journey of remembering and embodying that. Listen within to the source of your own being and receive direct downloads of blessing, inspiration and empowerment.

Do these things and you will never have to be afraid of your feelings again. They will become the fuel that drives you forward into new expanses of life experience and new discoveries of yourself as you evolve into an ever increasingly greater and greater embodiment of the True You.

What does it mean to become a sun?

Every human being is already a sun on the inside—a being of intense love and light. The difference is that some people have the vision and courage to become a sun on the outside. This difference is our human destiny.

  1. I love it all – but these words strike the heart-mind especially deeply.

“Speak seeds of possibility and potential into your world, toward others and unto your own mind and heart.’

  2. Yes, Gary, why would I want to get my spirituality secondhand via some religion, philosophy or other belief system? Why not go directly to the Source of spiritual Truth that is present at the core of my own Being? We are not here to try to define and interpret the Light, but simply to shine it!
