This Week’s Quotation:
“The human world wants your heart. The world wants your response. Advertisers want it. Politicians want it. So do the religions of the world and people who have something they want to sell to you. So do people who are looking for love. They all know that if they get your heart, they will get the rest of you–your thoughts, your labor, your hopes and dreams, and your money.”
—Becoming a Sun, p. 34
Whatever Captures Your Heart

Your heart is the most valuable thing you possess.
Whatever captures your heart begins to shape your life. Where your heart goes, your attention follows. Your thoughts begin to orbit around it. Your time, your energy, your creativity, your decisions… eventually, even your future.
The world understands this.
The question isn’t whether the world is calling to us. It always will. The question is whether we remember where our heart truly belongs.
Here’s what I’ve noticed: When our heart rests in the Presence of the Creator, something shifts. We don’t withdraw from the world. We become free within it.
We can care deeply without becoming consumed. We can show up fully without being captured. We can serve people without being driven by the need to please, impress, or prove something.
The outer world stops determining the condition of our inner world. That’s not withdrawal. It’s what makes it possible to live fully.
Every single day, we’ll catch our heart wandering. Maybe into worry, comparison, or reaction. Here’s the good news: no self-judgment required. Just notice… and come back.
Come back to that quiet place within.
From there, our thoughts become clearer. Our actions become wiser. Our love becomes more genuine. Instead of being swept along by the currents of the world, we begin to radiate a different current altogether.
So maybe the best question we can ask ourselves is simply this:
Where is my heart today?
What does it mean to become a sun?
Every human being is already a sun on the inside—a being of intense love and light. The difference is that some people have the vision and courage to become a sun on the outside. This difference is our human destiny.

Where is my heart today? My heart can wander off in all kinds of directions and can bring feelings and energies that aren’t always resonant with the Truth of Who I AM. Thank God for the Guardian Angel of my conscious mind that can beckon my heart back to CENTER.
