This Week’s Quotation:

The emotional body is that part of people that connects easily with what is around them—with the flow of the natural world, with other people, and even with the invisible life energy that courses through the human body. From the standpoint of this aspect of experience, there is no sense of separation from everything else; and therefore, from the standpoint of our own primal flow, there is no need for effort to connect—that is just how things are. The other aspects of our human makeup can modify or inhibit a person’s sense of connectedness. But from the standpoint of the emotional body, connection is the reality.

The Heart that Connects

Gary Goodhue, Spiritual Teacher, Public Speaker, Workshop Leader

This excerpt points to an underlying universal reality found within the emotional realm, the ability to connect. One could even say that we are designed in this magical way, and the heart is specifically designed to experience connection.

The heart, as the sacred holder of the emotional realm, is connected through vibrational threads to the entire existence of creation.

As a human being, the heart is connected to the heart of humanity and all of the varying and volatile emotional substances contained within the body of humanity. All the feelings and emotions that are being generated within the collective human experience can be felt by any individual human heart.

As a spiritual being, the heart is also connected to realms of higher reality through the access of our own invisible being. All of the higher vibrations of love are available to us to be felt in the heart because of that connection.

Our job is to let the heart be so open and connected that we can receive all the emotional substance from the world and let it move through us like a portal so that it can be lifted up to a higher reality. And then to receive from that higher reality, all the love and blessings of the creator and creation itself so that it can be delivered through us back into the human world.

Let us move forward in loving service as that crossover point connecting the heart of God with the heart of the world. It’s what our hearts were designed to do.

What does it mean to become a sun?

Every human being is already a sun on the inside—a being of intense love and light. The difference is that some people have the vision and courage to become a sun on the outside. This difference is our human destiny.

  1. Absolutely. You Go, Gary. At the heart of the matter is the matter of the heart! Let us keep our pointed upward, open, and filled with love for all around. Long may your heart flower like the natural world round about. Love, Tom

  2. As I think you bring out, Gary, the heart is both an instrument of perception (it tells us what is going on at the emotional level in the body of humanity) and an instrument of penetration (it conveys the ordering power of Love into the body of humanity). Our spiritual work requires us to be at the crossover point where this flow can successfully occur.

  3. YES. We are here to be the enfleshment of the Heart of God. I AM becoming the enfleshment of the Heart of God through the Breath of God. Receive the Holy Breath.
