This Week’s Quotation:
It is our personal and collective destiny to become a sun—to become on the outside what we already are on the inside: a conscious presence of Universal Love. This destiny is behind everything we experience as human beings, however we interpret it—every passion, every adventure, every challenge, even what might look like terrible setbacks in our life. Through it all, the core of who we are as a being of Universal Love is shucking off the unnatural limitations that we, as human beings, tend to accept for ourselves. That core within us seeks to shine freely through us, as us, into the world.
~ Becoming a Sun p. 9
What is a SUN?
What does it really mean to be a sun or to become a sun—to become on the outside what we already are on the inside?
Personally, I am a lover of words. The origin of words, the power of words, playing with words, making words rhyme, etc. I am a wordsmith, and one of the things that I like to do with words is to use them to create acronyms. So, in that theme, I have created an acronym for the word SUN to help remind me of the meaning of this word. The acronym is Spiritual Union Now.
I believe that there is an inner reality where we already exist in a state of perfect spiritual union. Therefore, we are already a sun on the inside. However, that is not the experience that most people are having as a human being. The world that we have collectively created as a race does not reflect a state of spiritual union.
Becoming a sun is about the opportunity to come into any new moment of now with an experience of spiritual union. By knowing through direct experience the connection available and through consistent response to that connection, a person comes into the realization that the presence you are connected to is actually a dimension of yourself that you are one with, in this moment of now.
Take the plunge of mining the depths of your own soul, searching your heart, and expanding your mind as you journey into having an experience of spiritual union now. You are becoming a sun!
What does it mean to become a sun?
Every human being is already a sun on the inside—a being of intense love and light. The difference is that some people have the vision and courage to become a sun on the outside. This difference is our human destiny.

Through our friendship, Gary, I’m very much aware of the living example you are of the words you write in this blog. Thanks for providing such a powerful demonstration of how to shine on the outside the Sun you are on the inside!
SPIRITUAL UNION NOW! Thank you, Gary. And I agree with Jerry as above as well. I note the publicity for an on-line course beneath Gary’s blog. Highly recommend the course. Love, Tom C.
‘This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.” Sunshine!!! Thank you Gary, thank you David. ❤️🙏🙏
