Bald Eagle 140423

I see you flying above the world,

feathered wings glistening

in the April sun,

set free in joyful abandon,

confident and assured

because you now know

what it is to land.

Flying is such joy

when you have found

the one tree

that holds your nest;

your home,

the one place to which

you constantly return.

As you travel the world, knowing where to land, you encourage others to do so in the very widest sense.

Love the perfect presence of this poem—the one tree that holds your nest, your home… literally gets to the “heart” of the matter and what truly matters. Thank you!
