Creating Tranquility and Bliss

This Week’s Quotation:

You have probably noticed that there is a connection between how you think and how you feel. If your emotions are the deep waters of your soul, then your thoughts are the atmosphere—the air. In the physical world, atmospheric disturbance roils the waters of the rivers, lakes, and oceans. Wind can create wave heights close to 100 feet on an open ocean.

Just as the air is a force of nature that affects the waters around the globe, your thoughts affect the waters of your soul…

The simple truth is that the emotional realm responds to a tranquil mind that is willing to understand it.

Creating Tranquility and Bliss

Are you finding that your emotional waters seem to be all over the place recently? Timid and anxious about what is coming next? Feeling regret about something from out of your past? Or angry and disbelieving about how someone else is acting?

I have a mini Bernedoodle puppy, Gracie. Once she becomes familiar with her surroundings, she is happy and free. But when she is in a new environment, Gracie changes. She is busy thinking about all the unknown people and objects around her—and especially about any other dogs that might be there, particularly if they are bigger than her. Her thoughts are affecting her puppy feelings.

And so I wonder…perhaps that is what is happening to me. Perhaps the world is changing, and my biological computer of a mind is attempting to figure out what is going on. And maybe my emotions are feeling it.

I have found that—as in so many other facets of the human experience—it is so important to allow. Allow my mind to inquire as to what is happening. Allow my emotions to feel what is happening and to express those feelings. And intuit what is transpiring. Admit, consciously, what I am feeling. Let my own heart know that I am listening to it.

This is what I was talking about in my book. There are ways of thinking that cause a storm in the waters of the emotional body. And there are ways of thinking that calm those waters and create tranquility and bliss.

I know which way I want to go.

What does it mean to become a sun?

Every human being is already a sun on the inside—a being of intense love and light. The difference is that some people have the vision and courage to become a sun on the outside. This difference is our human destiny.
