This Week’s Quotation:

What are the attributes of an embodied experience of a self? If you were going to build a flesh body you were going to incarnate into, what would those attributes be? There have to be qualities and abilities that set you free to express yourself through the flesh body. Here is a beginning list of the attributes of a human soul who has the capacity to express selfhood:

  • Choice
  • Will
  • Pleasure
  • Uniqueness
  • Power
  • Creativity

It takes these qualities for a person to create a world-their world. When you embrace your own selfhood, you are creating a world that is uniquely yours.

Isn’t it fun considering, What if I were the creator?  I enjoy it. Not because of the powerful position I would have but for the discovery of the perfection of the design as it is. As a chiropractor, I’ve had many people in discomfort share with me their feelings that “we should have been designed better!”

Consider David’s list of attributes of a human soul who has the capacity to express selfhood. In the human experience, denial is common about these attributes. We miss seeing them as gifts that are available to each of us to be used in creating a world. Let us review and acknowledge these attributes and identify how we might better utilize them.

The first three—choice, will, and pleasure—are available to us at every moment. We can always choose to be humble and kind. We can use our will to be of service. And when we are thankful for the things we love and value, we find pleasure in the moments of our lives.

The next three are uniqueness, power, and creativity. We can’t avoid our inherent uniqueness. We can choose to be fully ourselves, in honor of our unique combination of gifts and limitations. We can find complementation with all the other oddballs in the world.

Our power is always at hand. We remember there is no greater power than love. We are loved and we are Love. And while creativity is often unseen or underutilized, it is just a breath away. No moment in time is the same. We can use all the factors in front of us to create a new blessed world.

As I reflect on this, I think the only thing I would change, given the chance, is my ability to remember and not let the outer world determine my experience.  I honor the perfection and design of Love and join you in the pleasurable and unique opportunities we have in this lifetime.

What does it mean to become a sun?

Every human being is already a sun on the inside—a being of intense love and light. The difference is that some people have the vision and courage to become a sun on the outside. This difference is our human destiny.

Humble people are often more adaptable as they recognize that they don’t have all the answers and are willing to change their perspectives. ❤️
