Step Into Your Life
What a vast difference there is between talking about something and doing it. As David said, truly spiritual people are embodying their spirituality, not just seeking it. That is very different from “one day I’ll . . .” statements.
A friend of mine recently dug up a poem I wrote probably 10 years ago. It was all about stretching into a new spiritual reality.
Here are a couple of lines from the poem:
“stretch me and make me break the ties of this falsity.
wipe my eyes so I might see
the next step of death and birth”
Looking back at those words reminds me how vital it is to consciously live, let things go, and let things come. We can’t keep setting the table forever. The guests need to be welcomed and the meal enjoyed. Yes, taking that step can be scary. “What if they don’t like the food?” Maybe they won’t, but what if they love it?!
Internal change can be so personal and private, yet when it takes root, no one can take it away from you. You are having a spiritual experience because you are allowing the Being you are to enter you and live.
Enjoy the experience. Nothing will ever be the same.
What does it mean to become a sun?
Every human being is already a sun on the inside—a being of intense love and light. The difference is that some people have the vision and courage to become a sun on the outside. This difference is our human destiny.
