This Golden, Shining Moment

It is a warm, breezy, almost-summer day in Colorado. Like many people, there is a lot going on in my life. There are matters of all kinds to take care of. And through it all, there are the signs of the fragility of human life.

Yet, as sun lights the maple leaves outside my door and I read these words from my book, I feel the promise of life. I feel it for myself and my immediate world. I feel it for the human family we are all a part of.

The ever-present sunshine of the present moment repels all that is broken and decaying, banishing it to oblivion.

Today, the radiance of the sun within me enters my field of human awareness. And because I am part of the human family, it enters the entire field of human awareness, transmuting all it touches, making all things new.

I declare that this is a golden, shining moment. I bring the highest creativity of which I am aware into it.

What does it mean to become a sun?

Every human being is already a sun on the inside—a being of intense love and light. The difference is that some people have the vision and courage to become a sun on the outside. This difference is our human destiny.
