This Week’s Quotation:

The spiritual body is the place in which people entertain what is possible in their life. It is the capacity to believe that something wonderful and creative could occur. As the spiritual body in a person is activated, that faith in what could occur in a person’s life leads to a sense of abundance and generosity.

The Origin of Faith

David Karchere
Author, Becoming a Sun

Using slightly different wording, this quote from my book speaks of the human spirit, something hard to define but definitely a known quantity in human experience.

Faith is born out of the human spirit. I’m not speaking about faith in a religious belief. I’m talking about faith in life itself—faith in people, faith in yourself, and faith in the ultimate goodness of life.

Clearly, not everyone has that kind of faith. Sometimes negative beliefs of one kind or another cut it off for a person. But I think that it ultimately comes down to this. When a person lets in the Universal Love available to them, it uplifts and transfigures the human spirit. It inspires faith. And when the human spirit is filled with faith, it has faith to give.

Faith is a quality of a creator. Truly, creation is an act of faith. When someone creates, they are investing their love into something or someone. And that is faith—that the creation will come to something; that it will be meaningful.

Sometimes you run across someone in your life who has lost faith. At a time like that, perhaps you are called upon to lend them some of yours—to put your faith in them.

Here is the take-home message I get from this brief meditation. Let Love in. It elevates your faith. And you become who you are meant to be—a creator.

What does it mean to become a sun?

Every human being is already a sun on the inside—a being of intense love and light. The difference is that some people have the vision and courage to become a sun on the outside. This difference is our human destiny.

  1. Joyful to read! We are co-creators, when we let love in, letting the spiritual body in us activate our faith. It is then we become who we were meant to be.

  2. So beautiful!!! Let Love in. It elevates your faith. And you become who you are meant to be—a creator.
